Ok, I'll bite. Why is it a matter of the state to regulate behavior? In my copy of the Constitution, I don't see any reference to this right.

Read my lips, no new nations!
According to a story from the washington times the updated version of the U.S. Army's Field Manual on Operations ( http://www.dtic.mil/doctrine/jel/service_pubs/fm3_0a.pdf ) now considers "stability operations" (chapter 9), which if you read this section it does sound like a fancied up wording for nation building, as a component of U.S. military operations. Hmm I seem to remember somebody saying that nation building is not what the U.S. was about, in fact I think that that someone was criticizing a certain husband of a current presidential hopeful from the Democrat party (I'll give a clue here, I'm not talking about Obama) about policies that had been invoked by this hopeful's husband, who just happened to be President at that time, in the Balkans which were considered to be nation building. Hmmm now who was this again??

Gubment intervention in the mortgage non-crisis- wasn’t it at their urging that subprime mortgages were created. It’s called simple economics- you don’t need gubment guidance.

Somewhat related to the constitution and the knowledge of it- Foreign born actress gets US citizenship and is grateful …. It takes a bit of work to get something worthwhile. I helped an immigrant study for his test one time-it's more than you would think. This is the stuff they should teach in public schools.
Coming to America, not the Eddie Murphy Movie, but rather freedom of speech vrs freedom or relgion(ous toleracy)

The Governator and saving the environment
The L.A. Times has reported on Governor Arnold Schwarzeneger's almost daily commute to work, and it is a tough one indeed. He travels all the way from Brentwood to Sacramento, a trip that measures about 75 miles, and takes around 3 hours. By plane. Oh excuse me, I meant by private jet. Aides to the Gov. say that he picks up the bill for this expense which is in the hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, and that's just going to go up (thank you OPEC). But what about the effects that this must have on the environment oh Terminator of green house gases? Shaquille O'Neal's shoes could not contain Arnold's carbon footprint. Of course, he does purchase carbon offsets, so that makes everything ok. He jets home at the end of the day, and someone somewhere plants a tree. Aaahh I can just hear Bob Denver in the background now. Oh wait a second, no I can't, he's dead. He crashed his plane. At least he had the decency to do so before all this carbon offset, carbon neutral, carbon footprint, global warming, glaciers are melting, polar bears are dying, Kyoto Treaty, give Al Gore a @#!*ing award BS took over the world. What is it with these Governor's lately? Ever hear the phrase live by the sword die by the sword?
